Arm

This part supports the body tube and we use it to carry the microscope.

Body

This part connects the eyepiece to the revolving nosepiece.

Coarse Adjustment Knob

This part focuses the image when using low power.

Diaphragm

This part controls the amount of light passing through the specimen.

Eyepiece

This part contains the magnifying lenses you look through.

Fine Adjustment Knob

This part will sharpen the image under high magnification or if you just need a tiny bit clearer.

Mirrors/Light

This provides light that goes through the diaphragm, the specimen, and the lenses.

Nosepiece

This part turns the objectives until they are in viewing position.

Objective Lenses

These parts contain lenses in various powers of magnification.

Stage

The microscope slide sits on this flat surface.

Stage Clips

These parts keep the microscope slide in place while viewing.
