It has a distinctive peppermint odor and taste and is used as a carminative and flavored vehicle.
CONCENTRATED PEPPERMINT WATER
A clear, saturated solution of peppermint oil in purified water is prepared using one of the processes described in aromatic waters
Dissolve the peppermint oil in 90% ethyl alcohol.
Pour the solution in a mortar and add the purified talc, then triturate.
Transfer into a suitable container with cover and add approximately 20 mL of water.
Agitate for 10 to 15 minutes.
Filter the solution using a wet filter
paper until the mixture becomes clear.
