What is a Predicate
Part of a sentence that tells what the subject does, what is done to the subject, or what the subject is.
Examples of Predicate
Went Home in John went home
Is a talented musician in My sister is a talented musician
Eats garlic snails in Jack eats garlic snails
is disgusting in Jack is disgusting
What is Aspect
Refers to whether an action is in progress or completed. tell us how events unfold over time.
Modality
Used for indicating possibility, necessity, permission, or ability rather than stating facts directly.

What is Passive Voice
Subjects (Agents) are being affected by, the auxiliary word, the original direct object.
What is Active Voice
Subjects (Agents) are performing the action or making something happen.
What is a Head
The word that determines the grammatical properties of the whole phrase; the head names the phrase.
