Equity
Fairness and justice in the way people are treated and how opportunities are provided.
Diversity
The presence of a variety of social identities, including race, gender, culture, and more, within a group.
Inclusion
The practice of ensuring that people feel a sense of belonging and support, creating environments that welcome all.
Intersectionality
A concept recognizing that individuals can experience overlapping social identities, leading to complex layers of discrimination or privilege.
Social Identity
A person's sense of who they are based on their group memberships, such as ethnicity, gender, and social status.
Reflexive Learning
The process of critically examining one's own beliefs, values, and experiences in relation to learning and practice.
Cultural Identity
The identity or feeling of belonging to a group based on shared culture, such as language, traditions, and customs.
Belief Systems
Frameworks of principles and values that shape an individual's or group's perspectives and interpretations of the world.
Aging
The process of growing older, which can impact physical activity and health.
Ableism
Discrimination or prejudice against individuals with disabilities, including societal biases related to perceived ability.
