Origins of the slave trade in Africa with Europe
Europe came to Africa in seek of finding ivory gold and multinational corporations. since they had a shortage in gold and silver. Africa wanted the weapons and horses from Europe and Europeans wanted more labors.
Groups that benefitted from the Atlantic Slave Trade system
mostly all Europeans profited/benifited aswell as elite africans

families or communities that where not elite resisted African slave traders since they where loosing loved ones as well a not benefiting financially.
Parts of Africa most impacted by the slave trade
East africa was mostly impacted because they had egypt which was a trading center that connected middle east and asia. also where most of the slaves where getting exported from.
What the Middle Passage was like
the middle passage was very busy with ships bring millions of slaves. but it was rough sea conditions and the conditions of slaves where bad. around 50% of slaves died on there way to the americas due to poor conditions.
Reasons why accounts of Middle Passage may differ
different ships with diffrent number of slaves effected the conditions of slaves. every ship had different interactions during there voyage. it also depended on the captians goal money wise.

private owned large scale trading companies ex.) English Royal African Company largest slave trade company. Dutch West India Company,French Compagnie du Senegal,Danish West India Company. are all goverment backed private companies.
