Scene 2: First impressions

ASHTON: Ok! Why don't we all introduce ourselves? 

RUBEN: Wait, is this everyone? No one else is coming?

ASHTON: All the guys at least. Every year there are less and less campers.

RUBEN: Oh.

ASHTON: So, is this your first time at Camp Drywell?

RUBEN: Uh, yeah… why’s it called Camp Drywell? (Buzzing starts)

JAMES: But then it dried out again.

RUBEN: Oh, cool.

ASHTON: Well, either way, we’re glad to have you here!

RUBEN: Thank you- do you know what’s making that sound?

(Everyone looks at him as he winces)

RUBEN: What? Do you not hear that?

LUCA, (to JAMES): New kid’s weird

RUBEN: Am not!

LUCA: My bad.

RUBEN, (clearly upset): I don't- Ugh! You guys really can’t hear that?

ASHTON: Are you alright, Ruben?

RUBEN: I’m fine it’s just that obnoxious buzzing!

ASHTON: Do you need to go get some air?

(RUBEN looks at the three before running out, exits)
