Some assistance/setup for feeding, grooming, dressing, bathing; dependent for bowel/bladder
C5 Equipment Needs
Power bed, mechanical lift, power wheelchair with joystick, manual wheelchair with assist, adapted utensils, mobile arm support

Biceps, brachialis, deltoid, infraspinatus, rhomboids, supinator
C5 Available Motions
Elbow flexion/supination, shoulder ER, abduction, flexion to 90°
C6 Mobility Expectations
Independent to some assist for bed mobility and transfers; independent power/manual wheelchair
C6 ADL Expectations
Assistance to independent with setup/equipment; may be independent with bowel/bladder using adaptive equipment

Power/manual wheelchair, transfer board, universal cuff, adaptive utensils, hand splints

Independent bed mobility and transfers; manual wheelchair use in home/community

Independent with adaptive equipment; assistance for heavy household tasks

Quadriceps, anterior tibialis, hamstrings, gastrocnemius, gluteus medius/maximus, toe/ankle muscles

Hip flexion, knee extension/flexion, ankle dorsiflexion/plantarflexion/eversion, toe extension

Passive grasp using wrist extension to create finger flexion
Functional Grip Testing
