What is green criminology specifically?

  • Green criminology is interdisciplinary (politics, geography, natural sciences, philosophy, etc.)

  • Green criminology deals with definitions, theory, methods, epistemologies

  • Climate, non-human animals, wildlife, pollution, etc.

  • Some of the characteristics of green criminology is not a cohesive branch- there's lots of different project/research area (interdisciplinary).

  • Perspective / framework: uses things that are even less directly related to crime as we understand it more generally e.g. geology, ethics and philosophy, biology etc
