a field of study focused on understanding, explaining, and improving attitudes of individuals and groups in organizations

what are human skills?
Emotional Intelligence. Having knowledge about and being able to work with people, by being aware of one’s own perspectives and others’ perspectives at the same time, assisting group members in working cooperatively to achieve common goals, create an atmosphere of trust and empowerment of members. Important at all levels of the organization
what are conceptual skills?
The ability to do the mental work of shaping meaning of organizational policy or issues, works easily with abstraction and hypothetical notions, central to creating and articulating a vision and strategic plan for an organization. Most important at the top level of the organization
what is included in the individual level of analysis?
diversity, personality, emotions, attitudes, perception, and motivation
what is included in the group level of analysis?
teams, decision-making, creativity, conflict, leadership, power and politics, and communication

organizational culture, organizational strategy, organizational change, and organizational structure
