Congress can collect taxes on income

Amendment 18 was repealed. Alcoholic drinks were no longer illegal.

All persons born in the U.S. are citizens; Gave citizenship to African Americans and Native Americans; States must give all citizens equal protection under the law and due process

25th Amendment

If the president dies, the vice president becomes president; If the office of vice president becomes empty, the president nominates someone to become vice president

10th Amendment

Powers of the States and the people; any power not given to the national gov't is given to the people through the states

2nd Amendment

18th Amendment

Made the consuming; selling, making, importing, and exporting of liquor illegal

17th Amendment

Stated that people of the state would vote directly for senators; Senators Elected by Popular Vote

Rights of the people; Declares that other rights not listed may be protected

Sets beginning and ending dates for elected officials
