GREAT REFORM ACT 1832

• Face the vote to middle class men

• Women's vote had been taken away

• Limits input on the franchise

REPRESENTATION OF THE PEOPLES ACT 1918

• Women over 30 who owned property could vote

• Men who didn't own property could vote over 21

• After 1918 75% of the UK could vote

REPRESENTATION OF THE PEOPLES ACT 1928

• Granted equal voting rights to men and women

• Both men and women could vote from the age of 21

REPRESENTATION OF THE PEOPLE ACT 1969

• Lowered the voting age to 18 for both men and women

• Made the UK the first country to ever do this

SCOTTISH REFERENDUMS ACT 2013

• Voting for Scottish independence

• Gave 16 year olds the vote -> 75% did

EU WITHDRAWAL ACT 2018

• Repeal of the European communities act 1972

• Cutting of EU law in the UK (UK leaving the EU)

• First time some people lost the right to vote
