Jacobs & Miller

Chunks - literature review and observations of everyday practices (7 days of the week etc) and found chunking info could increase STM capacity - 7 ± 2

Baddeley
Word lists - Gave a list of words to 4 groups and asked to recall (semantically similar/dissimilar, acoustically similar/dissimilar)
Recalling immediately (from STM) did worse with acoustically similar words, recalling after 20 min delay (from LTM) did worse with semantically similar words.
