Relative Size and Height

Gives you the ability to measure how far away things are and how big they are in relation to other objects. Perspective

Linear Perspective

The sharper the angle of convergence, the closer the lines are together, the greater the distance will seem

Texture Gradient

The cue that makes texture, more texture = closer

Interposition

Otherwise known as the “overlap” cue. When an object blocks our view it must be closer

Motion Perception

Infers speed and direction of moving objects. Gauges motion based on shrinking or enlarging objects.

Continue to recognize an object regardless of its distance, angle or lighting, even if it appears to change.
