Triangle Mid-segment Theorem

Mid-segment: **segment that connects the midpoints of two sides of a triangle**

Hinge Theorem

1) **If two pairs/sets in one ∆ are congruent to the corresponding sides in another ∆**

2) **The included angles are** __**not**__ **congruent**

*Then: the larger side is across from the larger angle*

Converse of Hinge Thm.

1) **If two pairs/sets in one ∆ are congruent to the corresponding sides in another ∆** 

2) **The third side of one ∆ is larger than the third side of another triangle**

*Then: the larger angle is across from the larger side*
