What are the three parts of the Tenakh?

The Torah (laws) is the first five books written on parchment scrolls and is the most important part of the tenakh. The Nevi’im (prophets)   are the next important part of the tenakh which were named after the prophets.

What are the major and minor prophets?

The major prophets were longer than the other books and There are three of them; isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel. There were 12 minor prophets including jonah, malachi, zechariah and zephaniah.

What were ketuvim?

The ketuvim (writings) is a collection of proverbs, poetry and other writings for example psalms, proverbs, Daniel and ruth.

What is Talmud?

THE BODY OF JEWISH CIVIL AND CEREMONIAL LAW AND LEGEND COMPRISING THE MISHNAH AND THE GEMARA. 

What does the mishnah contain?

THE MISHNAH CONTAINS TEACHINGS ON MARRIAGE, SACRIFICES AND WORSHIP. THE GEMARA CONTAINS LEGAL DISCUSSIONS ON THE MISHNAH.
