Identify the Conclusion
finding what the main idea of a statement is, must be a statement that is supported by other statements, not the other way around
Entailment/Implication
what can be inferred from the statements, follow from the statements in the passage, wrong answers will conflict with passage information or that could be true but do not have to be true
Strongly Supported Inferences
Doesn’t have to completely support the passage but must not be too extreme or not 100% certain from the information provided
Issue in Dispute
asks what two speakers either agree or disagree about
Identify the Technique
find the way that supporting information is used to justify the conclusion
Identify the Role
identify the individual role that a statement plays in the argument
Identify the Principle
identify what principle justifies the argument or identify the principle in the passage
