Stool

A condition where there is insufficient oxygen in the tissues of the body.

A framework that categorizes human needs in a pyramid, prioritizing physiological needs over others.
Hospice care
Palliative care for terminally ill patients to improve comfort and support families.
Kübler-Ross stages of grief
Stages of grief including denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance.
Postmortem care
Care provided to a body after death, focusing on respect and sensitivity toward the deceased and their family.
Palliative care
Relief of distressing physiologic symptoms at the end of life, focusing on comfort rather than cure.
Respiratory rate
The number of breaths taken per minute, evaluated for rate, rhythm, and depth.
Bradypnea
Abnormally slow breathing, typically defined as a respiratory rate of less than 10 breaths per minute.
Tachypnea
Abnormally rapid breathing, indicative of respiratory distress.
Apathy
A coping mechanism characterized by indifference or lack of interest.
Denial (in grief)
Refusal to accept the reality of loss or impending loss.
Acceptance (in grief)
Coming to terms with loss and making plans for moving on.
