What is similarity in polygons?
Polygons that have congruent corresponding angles and proportional
corresponding sides are said to be similar polygons
Rules of ratios
The ratio of a to b is a/b or a:b provided that a and b are measured with
the same units. Also, b can not be zero
proportins (when talkng about ratios)
Two equal ratios
Cross multiple (formal)
where the product of the means (b*c) equals the product of the extremes (a*d)
What is needed for polygons to be similar?
congruent corresponding angles and proportional corresponding sides

what is this an example of?
the similarity ratio. Also known as the scale factor
