Affectionate
Showing caring feelings and love for somebody.
Analytic
Using a logical method of thinking about something in order to understand it, especially by looking at all the parts separately.
Applicant
A person who makes a formal request for something, especially for a job, a place at a college or university, etc.
Aptitude
Natural ability or skill.
Assertive
Expressing opinions or desires strongly and with confidence, so that people take notice.
Assiduous
Showing hard work, care, and attention to detail.
Attitude
The way that you think and feel about somebody/something; the way that you behave towards somebody/something that shows how you think and feel.
Avoidant
Preventing intimacy or social interaction from happening.
Challenging
Difficult, in a way that tests your ability or determination.
Chunk
A roughly cut piece / a (large) part of something.
Compel (to)
To force someone to do something.
Complimentary
Expressing approval, praise.
Considerate
Kind and helpful / caring about and respectful of others.
Constructive
Having a useful and helpful effect rather than being negative or with no purpose.
Cordial
Friendly, but formal and polite.
Cultured
Well educated and able to understand and enjoy art, literature, etc.
Daunting
Making you feel slightly frightened or worried about your ability to achieve something.
Dead-end job
A job in which no more progress is possible.
Demanding
Needing a lot of time, attention or energy.
Domineering
Trying to control other people without considering their opinions or feelings.
Empathetic
Able to understand how somebody else feels because you can imagine what it is like to be that person.
Entail (to)
To involve or to make something necessary.
Erroneously
In a way that is wrong or false.
Flippant
Not serious about a serious subject, in an attempt to be funny or to appear clever.
Golden handcuffs
Payments made to employees, especially those in a high position, as a way of persuading them not to leave their jobs.
Golden handshake
A large payment made to people when they leave their job, either when their employer has asked them to leave or when they are leaving at the end of their working life.
Golden hello
A large sum of money that is given to somebody for accepting a job.
Headhunt
To find somebody who is suitable for a senior job and persuade them to leave their present job.
Inquisitive
Wanting to discover as much as you can about things, sometimes in a way that annoys people.
Involved
Giving a lot of time or attention to somebody/something.
Job interview
A formal meeting at which somebody is asked questions to see if they are suitable for a particular job.
Letter of application
A letter to a company from a person who is looking for a job, usually in response to a job advertisement.
Level-headed
Calm and able to deal easily with difficult situations.

The ability to do several things at the same time.

Willing to listen to, think about or accept different ideas.

Having or showing the ability to see or understand things quickly, especially things that are not obvious.

A person who likes to do things perfectly and is not satisfied with anything less.
Pithy
Expressing an idea cleverly in a few words.
Proficiency
The fact of having the skill and experience for doing something.
Punctual
Doing something at the agreed or proper time.
Pull (to) strings for
To use your influence in an organisation to do them a favour.
Quick-witted
Able to reply in a clever and funny way without thinking for a long time.
Quirky
Unusual in an attractive and interesting way.
Reputable
Having a good reputation and able to be trusted.
Resourceful
Skilled at solving problems and making decisions on your own.

A job that is available for somebody to do.

Useful, important, or good enough to be a suitable reward for the money or time spent or the effort made.
