Monarchy

A government ruled by a king or queen

Constitutional Monarchy

A King or Queen is the official head of state but power is limited by a constitution.

Communism

A theory or system of social organization based on the holding of all property in common, actual ownership being ascribed to the community as a whole or to the state.

Authoritarianism

A political system in which a small group of individuals exercises power over the state without being constitutionally responsible to the public.

Dictatorship

A form of government in which the leader has absolute power and authority.

Parliamentary System

A system of government in which the legislature selects the prime minister or president.

Federalism

A system in which power is divided between the national and state governments

unitary system

A government that gives all key powers to the national or central government

Theocracy

A government controlled by religious leaders

Democracy

A political system in which the supreme power lies in a body of citizens who can elect people to represent them
