  • try to learn a new common word every day (this Quizlet set is very helpful for AP-level students)
  • speak french with native speakers if at all possible
  • in person, through text, over calls/facetime
  • write down words/phrases that come up in classwork that you’re unfamiliar with and work on learning them

  • fluent (chrome extension): automatically shows translations of french words in-browser
  • readlang (chrome extension, website): displays transcriptions, translations, and flashcard sets of terms in French
  • word reference (translation service): like google translate, but provides definition, gender, plurality, conjugations, and contextual usage of words
  • bonpatron (grammar check): french grammar checking service, perfect to proof essays and written responses before submitting
