Refers to the relationship between people and computers, how users communicate with and control computer systems to perform tasks.

Guidelines for User Interface Design

a. An interface that is easy to learn and use

b. Enhance productivity

c. Provide Flexibility

d. Provide users with help & feedback

e. Attractive and consistent layout

f. Enhance the interface

g. Focus on data entry screens

h. Use validation rules

i. Manage data effectively

j. Reduce input volume (only necessary data).

Detail Reports

Shows one or more lines per record.

Exception Reports

Shows only data that meets specific conditions.

Summary Reports

Provides totals or summaries of larger datasets.

Output Security and Control

Ensures all information leaving the systems is accurate, secure, and only seen by authorized users.

Input Security and Control

Making sure what goes into the system is correct, valid, and secure

Data Validation Rule

Criteria that ensure data entered into a system or spreadsheet meets specific requirements.
