A terrorist group that was created in 1866. They believe that White are better than Blacks. They are still around today.

Controls the freedoms of African Americans.

Limited Blacks and poor Whites from voting.

Claimed that segregation was constitutional. “Separate , but equal”.
What was the Reconstruction Act?
This Act was meant to bring the US back together after the Civil War. This helped to reunite the states back together.

A Black Union marches to LA to gain the right to vote. The ex-confederates wanted to arrest all the Blacks. 50 people were killed, and 200 were injured.
