What is a code of conduct?
collection of rules, principles and values, setting out the expectations of employees’ behavior and relationships that the organisation considers to be important to its success
What does a code of conduct actually do?
provides a framework for ethical decision making within an organisation and is a communication tool informing internal and external stakeholders about its values, employees and management
What are industry standards?
a clear definition of what is and what is not acceptable practice in a specific area of business
Why do organisations develop codes of conduct?
for confidentiality to ensure that data and information are kept safe and provide employees with guidelines about what they can and cannot do

principles that are designed to guide employees and provide assurance to customers and colleagues about what to expect
