Demographic change
A change regarding the population and it's size and structure as well as the people making it up like their tastes, fashions sense, incomes etc. Changes can happen at a local rate (like refugees entering a community), national level (increasing/decreasing birth rate), and on a global level.

- Changing roles of women
- Increased provision of education creating a more literate and skilled workforce
- Aging population in many high-income countries
-Early retirement in high-income countries leading to increased leisure time for a number of wealthy pensioners
- Rising divorce rates leading to increased number of single-person households
- Job insecurity caused by globalization forcing more employees to accept part-time/casual contracts
