Performs the process that supplies the body with a constant supply of oxygen, which is vital for life.

Nervous

Regulates most body activities and sends and receives messages from the sensory organs.

Digestive

Necessary for the normal intake of food and water and the elimination of waste.

Muscular

Provides body movement. Often associated in combination with the skeletal system.

Skeletal

Supports and protects the body and is the body's framework. Often associated in combination with the muscular system.

Urinary

Eliminates metabolic waste, helps maintain acid-base and water-salt balance, and helps regulate blood pressure.

Endocrine

Regulates of many of the body's activities by secreting hormones.

Lymphatic and immune

Protects the body from infection and disease

Sensory

Pertains to the organs involved with the five senses to gather environmental information.

Reproductive

Controls the system involving the creation of offspring and heredity.

Integumentary

Includes body parts that assist in regulating body temperature by covering and affecting its surfaces.
