• volume - amount of data generated

• variety - where data has come from, in what form

• velocity - speed at which the data is being generated in real time

• variability - how quickly and to what extent data is being processed

• value - meaning of data after being processed

• veracity - how trustworthy the data is

What is data assurance, how can it be improved?

• how reliable the data is

• using verification and validation

What is data redundancy?

• when the same piece of data is stored two or more times on a digital system

• when data being stored in one location has updated but the other hasnt
