When the writer gives human qualities, emotions, or actions to non-human things

When a writer uses deliberate exaggeration to emphasize a point, create humor, or show strong feelings

It’s the writer’s choice of words, it creates a certain tone, style, or effect
e.g “Let’s get started!”
