Square Root
A value that, when multiplied by itself, gives the original number.
Surface Area
The total area that the surface of an object occupies.
Perfect Square
A number that is the square of an integer.
Power of 10
An expression that represents the number 10 raised to an exponent.
Polynomial
An algebraic expression that consists of terms combined using addition, subtraction, or multiplication where each term is a variable raised to a non-negative integer exponent.
Coefficient
A numerical factor in a term of an algebraic expression.
Constant Term
A term in a polynomial that does not contain any variables.
Algebra Tiles
Manipulatives used to model algebraic expressions and operations.
Like Terms
Terms in a polynomial that have the same variable raised to the same power.
Expression Simplification
The process of reducing an expression to its simplest form by combining like terms.
Composite Object
An object formed by combining two or more shapes.
Exponential Notation
A way to express numbers using a base and an exponent.
