Affects global trade, as more disposable income leads to an increased consumption. Increased consumption also leads to environmental degradation.

Why do countries have energy mixes?

To meet their demands while staying energy secure by not relying on a single source. It also helps adhere to environmental policies (e.g renewable energy in the mix.)
