Motor cortex
Slim vertical strip at the back of the frontal lobe and is in charge of sending signals to our muscles and controlling our voluntary movement.
Somatosensory
Right behind the motor cortex, it's in charge of getting touch
sensations from the rest of the body.
Association cortex
The areas of the cerebral cortex involved in higher mental functions such as learning, remembering, thinking, and speaking.
Broca's area
Part of the frontal lobe that's in charge of controlling the muscles that create speech.
Wernicke's area
Part of the temporal lobe that's in charge of understanding language.
Visual cortex
The area of the occipital lobe that receives visual information from the eyes.
Auditory cortex
The area of the temporal lobe that receives auditory information from the ears.
