6 stages of ICE

Rush, High, Binge, Tweaking, Crash, Meth Hangover

1. The Rush

the first surge in sensation felt when smoking or injecting a drug, varying in length depending on the drug.

2. The High

abuser feels aggressively smarter and becomes argumentative

become delusional and can focus on an insignificant item such as cleaning the same window for hours.

3. The Binge

abusers aim to maintain the high by continuing to use more and more. During this stage the abuser becomes hyperactive until the high wears off.

4. Tweaking

- most dangerous stage of use, drug no longer provides a rush or high.
- They feel empty, start craving for the drug.
- Intense itching , user can become convinced that bugs are crawling under the skin
- cannot sleep and believe they are seeing and hearing things that aren't there

5. The Crash

this is when the body shuts down, unable to cope with the drug any more. Sleep can last from 1-3 days.

6. Meth Hangover

they are starved, dehydrated and exhausted physically and mentally. Can last for 2-14 days.
