What is a series Circuit?
It has one loop where all the components are connected one after the other.
What happens when a component breaks?
The circuit stops working because it is incomplete
How is the potential difference in a series circuit?
It is shared between all components.
Does the potential different have to be the same in all components? Why?
No, it just has to add up to the total potential difference given off by the power supply
Vtotal =
V1 + V2 + V3…
How is the current in a series circuit?
It is the same everywhere
What is used to measure current?
Ammeter
What is Ohms Law?
V=IR
Total resistance =
The sum of each individual component
Is a voltmeter connected parallel to the desired component? or next to it?
Parallel/ around
