Where is DNA found in human cells
Primarily in nucleus
Also some in mitochondria

DNA bound to histone proteins

Not in a membrane bound nucleus instead their DNA is arranged in a single, circular chromosome

Helix has major and minor groups separated by phosphates in backbone

Packaged into helix
Further packaged by wrapping it around nucleosomes
Further coiled into solenoid

Tiny spools each made up of 8 histone proteins
