Production
The various economic activities aimed at the creation and distribution of goods and services to satisfy human wants.
Utility
The satisfaction a consumer derives from the consumption of a commodity.
Direct Production
The creation of goods and services intended to satisfy human or household requirements, such as subsistence farming.
Indirect Production
Production by specialization for exchange, where the producer does not primarily meet their own wants.
Consumer Goods
Goods that are ready for use by final consumers without further production processes.
Durable Goods
Goods that can be used repeatedly over time, such as chairs and computers.
Non-Durable Goods
Perishable goods that are consumed almost immediately, like tomatoes and bread.
Producer Goods
Goods that can be utilized to produce other goods and services, such as vehicles and factory buildings.
Economic Goods
Goods that are useful, valuable, and scarce, commanding a price because people are willing to pay for them.
Non-Economic Goods (Free Goods)
Goods that are useful and not scarce, freely available in any quantity, such as air and sunshine.
Primary Production
The first stage of production, focused on extracting raw materials from the environment.
Secondary Production
The transformation of raw materials into finished goods, adding utility to basic raw materials.
Tertiary Production
The final stage of production, involving commercial activities and the distribution of goods and services to consumers.
