An event: the thing that makes things happen in a sentence
Infinitive
General form of a verb: “to like”, “to eat", or "to go."
Can a sentence have more than one verb?
Yes: ex. I will be eating leftovers
What are 3 different ways verbs can be used?

A noun that receives the action of the verb
Is only present when there is an action verb

Nouns that receive the direct object
After the verb, before the direct object
