Cloud that are thin and wispy. Typically indicate rain or snow in the near future, when they thicken and lower.

Cumulus

White, puffy clouds. Common during fair weather but, when they gather, can lead to thunderstorms.

Stratus

Broad, flat, and low clouds. If close to the ground, may produce rain.

Meteor

A rock from space hits Earth’s atmosphere and glows as it heats up, resulting in a brief streak of light.

Comets

Snowballs composed of ice and rock. As comets approach the sun, some of the ice in the nucleus turns into gas. Gas shoots out, carried by solar winds, forming the long tail.
