Ru-verbs (ERU/IRU)

replace ru with masu or masen

U-verbs

Take out the last u and add imasu or imasen

に time reference: when to use

use に with (1) the days of the week like "on Sunday," and (2) numerical time expressions like "in September" and "at 10:30"

に time reference: when not to use

do not use に with (1) time expressions defined relative to the present moment like "tomorrow" (2) expressions describing regular intervals like "every day" (3) the word for "when"

I am going to Kyoto today.
