Description for a tree -

The tree’s bark was an enigmatic (mysterious) cloak, tightly wound around the trunk which held depraved (corrupt/wicked) secrets.

Description for fog -

An impenetrable blanket of fog cascaded across the sky, obscuring the stars, leaving me in the ominous darkness.

Description for mysterious sounds -

Eerie murmurs sliced through the thin air.

Description for the universe’s glow -

Sometimes I think the universe is just a glow, the glow of a cigarette in the dark.
