Proper Nouns

common nouns

count nouns

non count nouns

collective nouns
Nouns that refer to a group of individuals or items, treated as a single unit, such as "team" or "flock."
abstract nouns
Nouns that represent ideas, qualities, or concepts that cannot be physically touched or measured, such as "freedom" or "happiness."
concrete nouns
Nouns that refer to physical objects or substances that can be perceived by the senses, such as "apple" or "car."

indefinite articles
Articles that do not specify a particular noun, typically "a" and "an."
adverbs

phrasal prepositions
Phrasal prepositions are phrases that consist of a preposition followed by a noun or noun phrase, functioning as a single unit to indicate relationships in a sentence, such as 'in front of' or 'out of.'
The subject
is the noun or pronoun that performs the action of the verb in a sentence, indicating who or what the sentence is about.
Simple subject
the main noun or pronoun in a sentence that tells who or what the sentence is about, excluding any modifiers.
Simple predicate
the verb or verb phrase that describes the action or state of being of the subject in a sentence.
compound subject
a subject that consists of two or more nouns or pronouns joined by a conjunction, sharing the same verb. (and)
complements
words or groups of words that complete the meaning of a subject or verb in a sentence.
direct object
the noun or pronoun that receives the action of the verb in a sentence.
indirect object
the noun or pronoun that indirectly receives the action of the verb, typically indicating to whom or for whom the action is performed.
simple complement
a word or group of words that completes the meaning of a subject or verb without adding any modifiers.
infinitive
the base form of a verb, usually preceded by "to," that can function as a noun, adjective, or adverb.
