The place of prayer/worship for Christians

Salvation

Deliverance from sin and its consequences believed by Christians to be brought to be brought about by faith in Christ

Kingdom of God

(aka Kingdom of heaven in Matthew) Central theme of Jesus' teaching according to the synoptic Gospels. It is the spiritual realm over which God reigns as king, or the fulfillment on Earth of God’s will.

Atonement

The reconciliation of God and humankind through Jesus Christ.

Sin

An immoral act considered to be a transgression against divine law

Resurrection

The rising of Jesus from the dead on the third day after his Death on the cross

Redemption

The action of saving or being saved from sin, error, or evil

Repentance

The action of sincere regret or remorse 

Reconciliation

The end of estrangement, caused by original sin, between God and humanity

Grace

The free and unmerited favor of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings

Logos

The Word of God, or principle of divine reason and creative order.

Agape

Considered to be the love originating from God or Christ for mankind

Sacrament

Religious ceremony or ritual regarded as imparting divine grace, such as baptism, the Eucharist and the penance and the anointing of the sick
