Attitude
Your evaluation of something, including feelings, beliefs, and actions.
Stereotype
A belief about a whole group of people, often oversimplified and incorrect.
Prejudice
A negative feeling or attitude towards a group and its members, judging before knowing.
Discrimination
Unfair action or treatment based on prejudice.
Implicit Attitudes
Attitudes we have without realizing it, influencing our behavior unconsciously.
Ingroup
The groups you belong to, often associated with favoritism.
Outgroup
The groups you do not belong to, often viewed as different or inferior.
In-Group Bias
The tendency to favor those within your own group.
Out-Group Homogeneity Bias
The tendency to view outgroup members as all the same.
Cognitive Dissonance
The uncomfortable feeling when actions do not match beliefs or when holding conflicting beliefs.
Belief Perseverance
The persistence of a belief despite evidence to the contrary.
Scapegoat Theory
The idea that members of a powerful group blame less powerful groups for their problems.
Ethnocentrism
The tendency to judge other cultures based on the standards of one's own culture.

The tendency to search for, interpret, and remember information that confirms one's preexisting beliefs.
