Triceps brachii
A muscle of the upper arm that helps extend the elbow.
Occipitalis
The muscle at the back of the skull that moves the scalp.
Sternocleidomastoid
A muscle in the neck that helps with the rotation and flexion of the head.
Trapezius
A large muscle extending over the back of the neck and shoulders, aiding in shoulder movement.
Deltoid
The muscle forming the rounded contour of the shoulder responsible for arm abduction.
Latissimus dorsi
A large, flat muscle on the back that helps in shoulder adduction and extension.
Extensor carpi ulnaris
A muscle of the forearm that extends and adducts the wrist.
Extensor carpi radialis
A muscle that assists in extending and abducting the wrist.
Extensor digitorum
A muscle that extends the fingers.
Gluteus medius
A muscle located on the outer surface of the pelvis that abducts the thigh.
Gluteus maximus
The largest muscle of the buttocks, important for hip movement.
Hamstrings
A group of muscles at the back of the thigh that facilitate knee flexion.
Gastrocnemius
The prominent muscle of the calf that flexes the knee and plantar flexes the foot.
Soleus
A muscle in the lower leg that helps with plantar flexion of the foot.
Calcaneal tendon (Achilles tendon)
A tendon that connects the calf muscles to the heel bone.
Adductor magnus
A large thigh muscle that aids in adduction of the leg.
Biceps femoris
A muscle of the hamstring group that flexes the knee and aids in hip extension.
Semitendinosus
A muscle part of the hamstrings involved in knee flexion and hip extension.
Semimembranosus
Another muscle of the hamstrings that aids in knee flexion and hip extension.
