Lovell escaped but Humphrey captured and executed but Lovell younger brother spared

Very little yorkist enthusiasm for rebellion

Lambert simnell passed off as Earl of Warwick - crowned king Edward in Ireland may 1487

John de la pole earl of Lincoln headed the conspiracy

Henry paraded real earl of Warwick in London

Lincoln fled to burgundy and with Lovell persuaded maragaret to pay for force of mercenaries and recognise simnel

Henry tipped off about invasion-reinstated (old yorkist supporter) Earl of Northumberland to power in north and reinforced coastal defences in east anglia

Rebels landed in nw coast crossed pennies but didn’t drum up much support

Was a cloth trader from tournament flankers who pretended to be Richard Duke of York

1491 pretended to be Duke of York in Ireland

1492 recognised by Charles viii of France but forced to flee to court of maragaret of burgundy.

1495 makes first attempt but henry had been informed by sir Robert Clifford, warbeck was defeated and fled to court of James in of Scotland

Sir William Stanley was found to have colluded or communicated with warbeck executed as traitor

1496 warbeck leads small Scottish force over English border but quickly defeated

1496 James gives in to Henry’s offer of marriage to his daughter maragaret warbeck flees

1497 tries to gain traction from end of Cornish rebellion but fails and surrenders to king-imprisoned in tower and executed 1499
