Collaborates with the director and other team members to get the vision of the scene work, then find all necessary sound files. Creates the Technical Sound Script for the technicians 

Sound Technician

The ones who make the play come to life. The ones opening the sound equipment. Set volume levels, follow the technical sound script, and problem solve.

Volume

How loud or how soft each cue is played 

Set level

To set the volume of each sound cue

Fade in

0% volume gradually increased to the set level. You can also set the speed of the fade in

Fade out

Volume goes from a set level gradually decreasing to 0%. You can also set the speed of the fade out

Cue

The trigger in the scipt for an action to be carried out at a specific time

Mood

The tone and feel of a scene created by sound effects

angle

the angle of the light as it hits the stage

Lighting designer

the one who works with the director and set designer to plan lighting effects and colors to create lighting, atmosphere, and time of day 

Lighting tech

controls the lights during a performance 

Plot Design

a document a lighting designer creates to tell the director, designers, master electricians, and crew which light instruments to use, how each instrument is hung, where it is focused, and what color it is
