Full-time
The employee works for the business with a set salary all through the year, they normally work over over 40 hours a week
Part-time
The employee works for the business for a limited time (possibly filling in for a worker who is unable to work for a limited amount of time - like maternity leave) they usually work less than 30-35 hours a week
Job-share
Two employees share the same job and split the workload, they will work the same amount of hours as a full-time employee but it will be split between the two.
Job description
describes the role and duties the potential employee is expected to perform
Person specification
shows the specific qualities and personal characteristics the prospective employee should possess
CV/resume
written by the prospective employee, allowing them to outline their education, skills and experience in the best possible light. There is no set template for a CV/resume.
Internal recruitment

Shortlisting
The process of selecting prospective candidates for interview is called shortlisting, and those candidates that are on the short list will then be asked to an interview, after which a candidate will be appointed.
