a group of lymph nodes that lie in front of the lumbar vertebrae near the aorta that receive drainage from the gastrointestinal tract and the abdominal organs.

pelvic lymph node

a part of the lymph system located in the pelvic region, which carries fluid, nutrients, and waste material between the body tissues and the bloodstream.

inguinal lymph node

nodes that receive most of the lymph that drains from the lower extremities.
