Test Tube

This equipment is used for holding liquids. The round bottom enables uniform heating of liquids.
Round Bottomed Flask

This equipment is used for heating, sterilisation and combustion.
Bunsen Burner

This equipment is used for channeling liquid into a burette/container with small opening.
Funnel

This equipment is used for dispensing an accurate volume of liquid. (0 - 50 cm³).
Burette

This equipment is used for measuring & transferring a fixed volume of liquid with a controlled release.
Pipette

This equipment is used for weighing substances.
Electronic Scale

This equipment is used for growing microorganisms.
Petri Dish

This equipment is used for picking up and transporting small quantities of powder/solid.
Spatula

This equipment is used for gripping & lifting objects.
Tongs

This equipment is used for supporting wire gauze over a bunsen burner.

Graduated Cylinder

This equipment is used for crushing, grinding & grounding substances.

This equipment is used to evaporate a liquid from a solution. (A concentrated solution or a solid precipitate is left behind)

This equipment is used for holding and swirling liquids without spilling. (The shape also reduces the loss of evaporation)
