An art movement that emerged in the UK in the late 1950s, focusing on popular culture less academic art. Occured same time youth groups were popular and pop music.

Designers influenced by pop art and youth culture used this as a driving force behind their design. Took on form over function. Their design styles defined themselves in terms of symbolism.

A German industrial designer known for the "less is more" approach and his 10 Principles of Good Design.
Was head of product design at Braun and created a unified language for their products.

Post Modern Design was a reaction against the functional and minimalist approaches to design of the modern movement.
Post Modernism was chaotic, humorous, symbolic, unexpected and eclectic.
