When farmers in Massachusetts led by Daniel Shays, rebelled because they were in debt, being heavily taxed, and losing their farms. If you wanted the government to give them relief, but it didn’t.

The articles made the national government very weak. It had no power to attack raise army or step into help Massachusetts because of this the rebellion went on longer and showed everyone that the articles of confederation aren’t strong enough to handle problems.
